ORGANZA
In 2019, my work was included in a show entitled Piles, Mounds, and Massings. Because it was on East Coast, I needed to create something lightweight. I played around with the idea of piles for a while, but soon lost interest. Too static. So I switched my focus to the thing that makes piles, the dump truck, reducing a fourteen-ton piece of machinery to a few gossamer ounces floating above the gallery floor. From dump trucks I moved onto tires, chain saws, and logs. Everything Heavy Becomes Light is the name of this series.
